About Bolton Town FC
Built in Bolton. Built for belonging.
EST. OCTOBER
2025
Bolton Town FC was formed in October 2025 when 18 grassroots teams and 158 players came together with a shared ambition: to build one inclusive, sustainable and community-focused football club for the people of Bolton.
Created by volunteers, coaches and families, the club was founded on the belief that every player should be given the opportunity to enjoy football, develop their ability and feel that they truly belong—regardless of age, background, experience or ability.
Why we exist
Opportunity for every player.
Bolton Town provides football for both boys and girls, from the youngest age groups upwards. We are particularly proud of our strong and continually growing girls’ section.
Our aim is about much more than results. We want to create a positive environment where players can build confidence, develop friendships and enjoy being part of a team.
Respect, fairness, inclusion and positive behaviour are central to everything we do, both on and off the pitch.

Powered by people
Our club is built by its community.
As a Manchester FA-affiliated, volunteer-led club, Bolton Town relies on the commitment of its coaches, committee members, parents, partners and wider community. Their support helps us improve opportunities, develop our teams and keep grassroots football welcoming and affordable for local families.
Bolton Town FC is still a young club, but it has already become a community in its own right.
